Our firm is committed to providing the business community with the best guidance and most current thinking concerning topics which are critical to the success of our existing clients and other Southern California businesses. To that end, we have previously published and distributed several editions of our Mergers & Acquisitions Newsletter and intend to continue doing so in the future.


To take advantage of certain practical insights that are generated through genuine and unscripted dialogue, we have produced and are excited to launch a video productions section on our website for the benefit of our clients and friends, dealing with key issues, across the legal spectrum, of importance to the success, or even survival, of businesses.


The first videos which we are proud to present are part of our “M&A Video Series” filmed in early 2009, which consists of four different videos (comprised of a total of twelve segments, three segments to each video) hosted by George Shenas, President of our firm, and directed at business owners and executives who plan to either sell or buy a business in the near, medium or long term.


This timely series of videos features various professionals and CEOs whose extensive experience in the sale and purchase of businesses is an invaluable resource.


Two different investment bankers share their respective insights on effective merger and acquisition transactions: Phillip Currie, founder and managing partner of Shoreline Partners, LLC; and David Duval, President of Claiborne Advisors, Inc. Both Phil and Dave reveal an understanding of the subject matter which will enhance any viewer’s knowledge of the M&A process.


Gary Gist and Bob Brendel, who have led numerous commercial enterprises in various capacities and have both bought and sold companies and product lines, view the process from the perspective of a chief executive and talk about the benefits that a CEO can bring to the M&A process, as well as the dangerous pitfalls and risks to be avoided.


Finally, attorney Marcus Klebe explains the importance of the due diligence process and how competent M&A counsel can add value to its client’s M&A efforts and help to avoid erosion of pricing on both a pre-closing and post-closing basis.
