Palomar Technologies Acquires Fiber Automation Division of Axsys Technologies

George P. Shenas, Incorporated represented Palomar Technologies, Inc. in connection with its acquisition of the Fiber Automation Division of Axsys Technologies, Inc., located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The acquisition is designed to enhance the technological capability of Palomar Technologies to design, manufacture, sell and distribute production and test systems into the photonics market and to manufacture and sell nanopositioning subsystems incorporated into photonics automation tools.
Palomar Photonics Automation, Inc., a newly formed subsidiary of Palomar Technologies, Inc., will assume the operation of the fiber automation division, which will remain in Pittsburgh. Palomar Technologies, Inc. continues to operate its principal business in Vista, California.
