Sale of MicroJoin, Inc. Assets to Unitek-Miyachi

George P. Shenas, Incorporated represented MicroJoin, Inc. and its parent corporation, Palomar Companies, LLC, in connection with the sale of substantially all of the assets of MicroJoin's Resistance Welding Division and Hot Bar Bonding Division to Unitek-Miyachi, a company engaged in the business of manufacturing equipment and systems for resistance and laser welding, reflow soldering and heat seal bonding, electronics assembly, microjoining, wirebond pull testing, laser marking, cutting and machining, and hermetic sealing in environmental enclosures.
The major part of Palomar's bonding business continues to be carried on by Palomar Technologies, Inc., which is the leading supplier of automated assembly equipment for the production of optoelectronic and high frequency wireless components. The company's products enable manufacturers of devices used in high-speed broadband communications to improve yield, shorten assembly times, and increase profits.
