Clients Awarded Top Architectural Honors
July 12, 2008
Jonathan Segal and Brett Farrow, both longstanding George P. Shenas, Inc. clients, garnered awards at this year's AIA (American Institute of Architects) awards program in San Diego. The program, held this past June at the Neuroscience Institute in Torrey Pines Mesa, presented awards to both local architects and out-of-town architects with work built within the county. This year, the four jurors were interested in projects that used sustainability in their design.
Jonathan Segal, who began a relationship with George Shenas in 1991, was presented with a prestigious "Honor Award" for the "Q" Project, a ".not yet completed residence and office building along with a preserved 19th century home in Little Italy.".

George P. Shenas, Inc. has been involved from the inception of the project in the structuring of its acquisition, financing and leasing.
"The 'Q' Project was great to work on with Jonathan", says George. "It is destined to be a landmark project in Little Italy and, like so many of Jonathan's projects, it will be environmentally sound."
The firm was also instrumental in the development of Brett Farrow Architect Inc.'s project located in north Little Italy. West Laurel Studios, a 10 unit complex consisting of office and storefront space, earned a Merit Award from the judging architects.
